Tyler Herro is an American basketball player who currently plays for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association. Herro is just at the start of his professional career having drafted in 2019. As of 2020, Tyler Herro net worth is estimated to be $500,000.

Herro was born on January 20, 2000, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He started playing basketball while he was studying at Whitnall High School. In his senior year, he averaged 32.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 3.3 steals per game. With that magnificent records, he was named to the First Team All-State. Overall, in his schooling career, he scored more than 2,000 points.

He was considered a 4-star recruit by the Rivals.com. He received scholarship offers from different universities including the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Marquette University, DePaul University, Oregon State University, and Arizona State University. Initially, he committed to play for the University of Wisconsin but John Calipari who is the coach of the University of Kentucky convinced him to join the college.

Herro played for the Kentucky Wildcats and averaged 14 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. He was the only player to start in all 37 games for the Wildcats. On February 27, 2019, he scored a collegiate career-high 29 points leading his team to a comeback victory over the Arkansas Razorbacks in a 70-66 tight game. During his time at the college, he was named an All-Freshman First Team selection by Basketball Times and Southeastern Conference Rookie of the Year by the Associated Press.

On April 12, 2019, Herro decided to enter the NBA draft forgoing his final three years of college eligibility. He was selected by the Miami Heat with the 13th overall pick in the NBA draft. A couple of months later, he was voted by his fellow rookies as the best shooter in the 2019 draft class.

Herro’s professional debut in Heat jersey came on October 23, 2019, against the Memphis Grizzlies. He finished that game with 14 points, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, and an assist in a 120-101 victory. In his fourth game against the Atlanta Hawks, he scored a career-high 29 points.

Tyler then broke his own record on August 12, 2020, scoring a career-high 30 points in a 116-115 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. He had an amazing 2020 season with the Heat as he became the first player in NBA history born in the 2000s to appear in an NBA Conference Final. He was also named to the 2019-20 NBA All-Rookie Second Team by the NBA.

In game 4 of the 2020 Eastern Conference Finals, he scored a career-high 37 points becoming only the fourth player to score 30+ points before turning 21. After an Eastern Conference Finals victory against the Bolton Celtics, Herro became the first player to play in an NBA Final born in the 2000s.
